Our Story

Born in Hialeah,
Built for Pet Lovers

Shango & Ochun Petshop was founded on a simple conviction: the animals we care for deserve the same thoughtfulness we bring to every other part of our lives. Nestled on Palm Avenue in the heart of Hialeah, we've become the go-to destination for discerning pet parents who refuse to compromise.

Our name honors two forces — Shango's bold energy and Ochun's nurturing warmth — and those energies shape everything we do. We source from trusted manufacturers, prioritize natural and specialty diets, and maintain an inventory that reflects the real needs of Hialeah's diverse pet community.

What Hialeah's Pet Parents Say

Real feedback from real families who trust Shango & Ochun for their pet's needs.

Switching to the grain-free food they recommended changed everything for my dog. His coat is shinier, he has more energy, and his stomach issues are gone. These people genuinely care about what they sell.

Golden Retriever — Max

I've been to big chain stores, but nothing compares to the attention here. They took the time to understand my cat's sensitivities and put together a complete care plan. I drive from across Hialeah just to shop here.

Roberto L.

Persian Cat — Luna

The grooming service is outstanding — my poodle has never looked better. And the staff remembers her name every time we walk in. That kind of personal touch is rare, and it's why we stay loyal.
